Somewhere over the Rainbow Bridge.....

These are the dogs who have filled our lives with love and memories.  Some are still with us and some have gone on to the Rainbow Bridge.  The ones who are gone are remembered for the individuals they were and will forever be missed.

Ch. Allegro Farm Fire Dancer (Ember) Ch. Meadowlarks Muir Woods x Ch. AllegroFarm Dance Til' Dawn

Ember came to us from the Allegro Farm Kennels in Canada.  She was the foundation for all of the Irish Setters we have today and left us in 2008 for the Rainbow Bridge.  Ember was quite simply the sweetest, most gentle dog who never asked for anything more than to be loved and treated with dignity and respect.  No matter what the task, she gave nothing less than her all.  Ember is Sonny's mother and I often see her gentleness in his eyes.

Ch. Belukhas This and That (Patches) Ch. Philadelphia Flash x Ch. Rhydowen Genesis of Belukha

Patches came to us from a dear friend, Susan Peterson (Belukha Cardigan Corgis) and was our first Cardigan Corgi.  She is the foundation of every Cardigan we own today and even though the Cardis in our home today are her great-grandchildren, I can still see Patches in their eyes.  When she came to live with us, Susan knew I wanted to show her and told me that Patches could certainly finish her AKC championship.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think that she would go on to accomplish as much as she did, becoming a multiple group placer and being nationally ranked in the top 25 Cardigans in the country one year!!  Patches was a wonderful devoted dog whose joy in life was to make her human family happy.  She produced two litters of puppies, with some of them going on to earn their champion titles as well.  Patches left us in 2005 for the Rainbow Bridge, but has left behind a legacy in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
