Although the Irish Setters were our first experience with show dogs, after obtaining our first Cardigan Welsh Corgi,  we completely fell in love with this breed.  They are a wonderful breed of dogs who are loyal, loving, and completely devoted their owners.  They are easily trained and anxious to please.  Anyone who has Cardigans will tell you that you simply can NOT have just one!!

Ch. Belukha This and That (Patches)(below)

Patches was our first Cardigan and the foundation of Wales Tails Cardigans.  Although she crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2005, we can still see her in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren!!

Ch. Wales Tails MonPetitCavalier (Manny)(above)

Manny came back to us at around a year old due to the sudden death of his owner (and my dear friend, Linda).  He went on to become a multiple group placing dog and has given me great joy and pride.  An extremely easy-going, lovable boy.  Mannie re-entered the show ring at 9 years old and garnered several BOB ribbons as well as a couple of group placings and a Veteran Herding Group First!  He also now needs only 3 more points for his AKC Grand Champion title!!

Ch.Wales Tails Lucy in the Sky (Lucy) (on the left)

Lucy is the  newest member of our Cardi Party and is Traveler's half-sister.  She won her AKC Ch. title at 2 years old and  won several Best of Breed awards along the way.   A breeding between Lucy and Traveler is planned for the spring of 2011.

Ch. Wales Tails Globetrotter (Traveler)(below)

Traveler became an A.K.C. champion in 2009 and also gave me our very first agility title, winning two Best of Breed awards from the classes.  We look forward to continuing his show career as well as more fun in the agility ring!!  FLASH:  By the end of the agility competition season in 2010, Trav had won both his novice and open agility titles and is working on his excellent title!!!!

Wales Tails JeNeSaisquoi (JeNe) (above)  Although JeNe never finished her championship due to a lack of available points at the shows in Alaska, she is the mother of both Traveler and Lucy and has produced wonderful puppies.  Like Patches, we would not have the awesome dogs we have now if not for her!!! FLASH:  JeNe is now a Register of Merit Bronze girl with the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America.  This is a title won through having multiple pups who have titles in front of and behind their names.  JeNe's pups have AKC Ch. title, herding titles, agility titles, and obedience titles!  The proof in the pudding that her babies can do it all!!!!!

Ch. Belukha This and That (Patches) and Ch. SavoirFaire (Paris....Patches' daughter) shown as a brace.(left)  These two girls, in one year, won Best Brace in Show 12 times in 16 shows!!! Surely that must be a record-setting number of wins!!!
